Chronology of cameras Canon
Top Twin is the European name for this fully automatic bifocal compact camera. It was called Sure Shot Tele in America and Autoboy Tele in Japan, where it was sold for 51,300 yen in October 1986.
The focal length change (40 mm / 70 mm) is electric. A movable lens in the viewfinder adapts its field of view to the chosen focal length. A softening filter can be placed in front of the lens.
The built-in flash can be automatic, forced, or turned off. A 2 EV overexposure is possible, as well as disengaging the film advance for double exposures or special effects. The camera also comes with a cover that masks half of the lens. The Top Twin is equipped with a tripod socket on the base.
The battery compartment is closed by two PH00 Phillips screws, which is not very convenient for changing the battery in the field.
A Quartz-controlled date insertion function was available as an option.
